Hello Biplane is led by songwriters Spencer Goertz-Giffen and Braden Young who became friends while instructing aspiring guitarists at a music store in Lawrence, KS. On their daily trek via bus to community college they devised a plan to perform their original music as a duo and quickly fell in romantically as well.Hello Biplane morphs between a duo and full band line-up featuring Jeff Jackson (bass), Austin Sinkler (drums), Hugh Naughtin (cello/synth), and Nate Holt (keys/synth/accordion). Their original music is harmony-driven and dynamic, ranging from intimate folk to head bobbing rock and infectious pop.Like the name suggests, Hello Biplane's songs nod to life’s fleeting moments - glimpses of joy or gloom that pass quickly but leave a lasting impression in their wake.
